Editorial workflow
Every article moves through a documented workflow: draft → review → fact-check → legal review (for investigations) → scheduled → published. The workflow is enforced by our CMS — nothing reaches readers without passing each gate.
Fact-checking
Every published article is fact-checked by someone other than the writer. Investigations are additionally reviewed by counsel before scheduling.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made by editors. Advertisers, sponsors, and members have no role in story selection, sourcing, or framing. We will refuse advertising or sponsorship that compromises this independence.
Reader feedback & letters
We publish letters from readers under the same editorial standards we apply to our own writing. Letters are subject to fact-checking and editing for length.
Retractions
If we publish something that, on further investigation, we cannot stand behind, we retract it — with a clear explanation of what we got wrong and how. Retracted pieces remain accessible with a retraction notice; we do not memory-hole.
