Editorial decisions are made collectively by the Maroon’s editorial board to ensure diverse perspectives and rigorous review.
OUR MISSION
The Nashville Maroon exists to make Nashville’s civic life legible to the Black communities most affected by it — through investigative reporting, automated meeting summaries, and rigorous accountability journalism.
Our coverage focuses on three pillars: investigative accountability reporting, automated civic transparency, and community-driven cultural events.
